Our mission is to help support the digital platforms of OA Virtual Region, working with the board, the committees and our intergroups to help facilitate the virtual channels to carry the message and to strengthen our fellowship.
We make the best use of the Virtual Region’s digital resources by working as a team — alongside the Board, other committees, and our intergroups. Everything we do is collaborative, supportive, and designed to help each volunteer grow.
We handle both big projects (like preparing for conventions) and small tasks (like updating a single webpage). No matter the size of the job, you’re never doing it alone.
Every week, we hold a work session where we meet on Zoom, work side‑by‑side, and learn together. These sessions provide built‑in training, encouragement, and the comfort of having extra eyes on every project.
If you can edit a simple word‑processing document, you can learn to edit a webpage. Truly — the skills transfer more easily than you might think, and we’ll guide you step by step.
Specifically, we
We receive requests from other committees or the board. During Convention, Assembly, and other Virtual Region events, we receive a greater volume and variety of requests. We are also involved in Social Media and Audio Recordings processing. The Digital Resource Committee makes actual changes to website, eblasts, social media. We make changes on a Zoom call so some are practicing skills, others are teaching or learning.
