Intergroup Outreach Committee (IGOR)

Purpose:

Our mission is to support intergroups in helping the Virtual Region carry the message of recovery and strengthen the fellowship. We promote unity and cooperation among the Intergroups in the Virtual Region.

What we do and need service support for:

  1. Support the current member intergroups within Virtual Region
  2. Welcome and offer help to unaffiliated groups.
  3. Encourage the formation of new groups and helping groups if they wish to affiliate with an intergroup or to create their own intergroup.
  4. Support intergroups, intergroup growth, and intergroup involvement at Virtual Regional level
  5. Help the region serve each Intergroup/establish what is needed
  6. Improve communication between the Virtual Region and  its intergroups
  7. Encourage Intergroups {IGs} to send Representatives to Virtual Region {VR} Assemblies and Delegates to the WSBC.
  8. Helping intergroups as needed, and other duties as assigned.
  9. Participate in revising the widely used Intergroup Renewal Manual to help train intergroup officers and to provide assets for constructive service body inventories.

Meetings:

Our committee meetings are twice monthly, 11:30am Thursday mornings Eastern Time.
