PURPOSE

The purpose of the Virtual Region Convention Committee is in:

• Globally carrying the message of recovery, to thousands of newcomers and returnees around the globe through virtual platforms. Fundraising, through our annual convention, our largest fund-raising event of the year, to ensure the Virtual Region stays financially sound and in our ever-expanding reach to the still sick and suffering compulsive overeater.  
• Providing 12 Step within outreach to members of the OA global community. With each ensuing year, expanding our global reach in geographic and virtual areas and with ever more languages.
• Demonstrating the practice of the OA Principles and Traditions, especially as committee members work together on convention projects, tracks, and in inviting other members to give convention service in entertainment, speaker seeking, creative design, convention document editing, workshops, Step studies, fellowship meetings, newcomer meetings, open sessions, data assistance, social media outreach, audio editing, and tech support.
